Jeremy Blunt and His Impact Beyond Hampton, Virginia

After an illustrious tenure at Phoebus High School, Jeremy Blunt has embarked on a new chapter in his coaching career.

 

In January, Blunt announced his resignation from the Phoebus Phantoms football program, a team he led to four consecutive state championships from 2021 to 2024. His departure marks the end of an era for the Hampton, Virginia community.

 

Blunt has accepted the head coaching position at Nova Lakes High School in St. Cloud, Florida. This newly established institution is set to open its doors in August, offering students a forward-thinking educational environment. The football team will compete as an independent for two seasons before transitioning to Florida's highest classification, 7A.

 

Reflecting on his time at Phoebus, Blunt expressed deep gratitude for the community's support and the players' dedication. He emphasized the importance of embracing new challenges and the opportunity to build a program from the ground up at Nova Lakes.

 

The Phoebus Phantoms football program now faces the task of finding a successor who can uphold the legacy Blunt leaves behind. The community remains hopeful that the foundation he built will continue to foster success for years to come.
